At 12 years old you need to ensure that a heathly diet is put into place as the body is still growing and can not afford to undergo adult diet suppliments and pills. The best way is to intake more vegies and start going for walks or runs. Cut out as much sweets or soft drink as possible, but dont make the mistake of cutting them out all together as the child may feel like they are being punished, and sneak these snacks instead. Instead of fatty meats with meals, change to fish that is high in protein. Aviod cooking with any oils (use the grill instead).
