What process of cell division creates diploid cells and what process creates haploid cells?

Mitosis makes diploid cells or stomatic cells which are cells with 2 haploid sets of chromosomes. These are your normal body cells. every cell in you body besides the gametes are diploid and have 46 chromosomes.

MeiOSis makes haploid cells which only have 23 chromosomes or one set of chromosomes. Haploid cells are your gametes or reproductive cells and meiOSis only happens in your gonads or reproductive organ.
