Why would a 1988 Mazda B-2200 have oil and smoke coming out of tailpipe at startup that lessens when the car reaches normal temperature?

The engine probably has cracked valve seals and or worn valve guides. This seems worse than it is. Your vehicle could run forever like this. Try this: add one can of STP at your next oil change.
