The interior lights and cargo light in your 1996 Silverado do not work even though the fuse seems to be ok. Is there another fuse or fusible link that could be bad?

have you tried actually placing a new fuse in there? or you can take a fuse from another location of the same amperage and place it in the int. lite location just to test it. a third option is to actually test the fuse in question using a continuity tester. those newer blade type fuses can be bad even tho they "look" good.
