What clothes should you pack for a trip to Ireland in September?

Sept can be quite mixed. It can be fine and dry. Temps may go up to 20c but nights are quite cool. As the children go back to school in Sept we are sure to have some fine weather. Sept can be lovely. You could be sitting on the beach or dodging the showers!! But on the plus side they dont last long.

However it has been dull and cool for the most part this summer. A warm fleece is essential. It can be windy. Always have a raincoat with a hood. Waterproof shoes for outdoors. Light fleece, long sleeve t shirts, light trousers. We spend lots of time outdoors.

I make sure the kids go out to play or plan a trip while it is dry. Make the most of the fine weather to see the beautiful country and amazing coastal landscapes. It will be windy by the coast. If the day is wet we plan indoor visits. It's always lovely to have a walk or a trip to a playground in the fresh air.
