Gregory Maguire [b. June 9, 1954] is familiar to readers worldwide for his sequels, which are actually prequels, to 'The Wizard of Oz' by Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1856 - May 6, 1919], author and Oz Royal Histories series originator.
