What should you buy a iPad or laptop?

It depends on what you are going to use it for.

If you are looking for a portable gaming/multimedia/internet station sort of thing with emphasis on gaming, I would go with a laptop. Computer games generally have more depth to them as well as better graphics. The drawbacks to laptops are that you can't make calls or text with them, unless you get special software for that. Also, if you want to get an internet connection somewhere that there is no WiFi, then you would have to get an AirCard, or some other carrier's equivalent.

On the other hand, if you are always on the go and don't want to go to all the trouble of carrying around a laptop, and are going to make phone calls and text messages, then iphone would be the way to go.

It is sort of hard for somebody who doesn't know you or what you are going to use it for to decide which is best for you.
