That depends on the time of year, and how you are purchasing the berries.

During the winter they are sometimes expensive, since you have to transport them. However, during the summer you can often find them for around two dollars a pound, sometimes cheaper.

It also depends on if you are getting mass produced strawberries, or if you are getting locally grown strawberries. Local berries are slightly more expensive, but will usually be much tastier.
