Why didn't Elgin Baylor get ring?

Elgin Baylor, a legendary NBA player, never won a championship ring primarily due to the dominance of the Boston Celtics during his playing years. Despite his incredible talent and being a key player for the Los Angeles Lakers, he faced tough competition, especially in the Finals, where the Celtics often prevailed. Baylor's retirement just before the Lakers' 1972 championship season also meant he missed out on the team's success that year.
