If you get an Italian passport, you can work, live, study, own residence and even retire in any of the 27 European Union member states (including the UK). But inform the British Authorities of your new citizenship and hold on to the Indefinite leave to remain. after five years of residence, get British citizenship and you will end up with two EU Passports.
