What were some of the Union states during the US Civil War?

The South's list is shorter, so that is where to begin. By entry: South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Arkansas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Misouri. Kentucky and Arizona Territory. Most of West Virginia, Missouri and Kentucky were under the Rebel's primary control within a few months. The Arizona Territory was back under Union control by 1862. The rest of the country remained pro Rebel. The Rebels Are South North Union.
