How did Cleopatra commit suicide?

Octavian the ruler of rome had Cleopatra locked up she asked for something but also asked for a highly poisonus snake inside seceretly. She took the snake and let it bite her she died instantly----at least that is the fantasy version of Cleo's suicide. The truth is that she died of some type of poison, the current thinking is that it was a mixture of three different poisons. A luxury loving queen like Cleopatra would never take the risk of a slow, agonizing death by a cobra bite.
