Houses sometimes represent the person dreaming and their life. If it is a childhood home, it could represent who you were at the time, your feelings at the time, or the events around that time. Burglars break into houses to harm people or to steal. So if it was your childhood home, you might feel deeply that some of your childhood was stolen from you.

Or, if your former house was burglarized for real while you were living there, then that may be etched into your mind. Theft and burglarly often leave deep feelings of violation on the victims. So dreaming about it could mean you are still trying to come to terms with what happened.
