Back in 1645-1646 there was a man named Matthew Hopkins. He believed that you could identify a witch by marks, or boils on the body. He called it a third nipple. He also had a way of identifying from tying the woman's toe to her thumb, then dunking her in water repeatedly. If she floated, it was said that her master, the Devil, was saving her, and she was then announced a witch. If they sank, they were proven innocent, and went to heaven without any marks on who they were.

It's pretty difficult to identify modern witches, or even historical witches for that matter. They come in all shapes and sizes, they work in all kinds of professions, they live in suburbs and cities, small towns and the country. They look just like everyone else, they could even be your neighbor, your boss, your co-worker or your friend.

Of course, you could try the simple method.... ask them.
