The Fields of Asphodel are part of Greek mythology. They are one of three main parts of the Greek underworld. The other two are Tartarus, which was reserved for extremely evil people, and Elysian Fields, which very good people went. Asphodel Fields is where the normal, neutral people went once they died. It was just a giant wasteland basically.
