Is the American Toad a reptile?

Americans Toads are very abundant in numbers BUT if we continue to eliminate members of this group by hitting them with cars, stepping on them, or anything else that kills them, they will in deed go extinct. So, please treat all toads and amphibians with the most respect ever given to any animal ever.

I have a toad at home so I would know what to do.
