What is the customs in The Giver?

Here are a few examples:
1. If a baby is underweight, it is killed. In addition, there are only a certain number of babies allowed each year and the rest are killed.
2. An example of a ritual would be the job selecting ritual.
3. All stirrings must be reported.
4. Lying is not allowed. Jonas, however, is allowed to lie in his new position, the new Receiver.
5. Individuals can not point out each other's differences.
