Why does it take women so long to get ready for sex?

Please dont group us all together because, as a women with a closet that is 16 x 23 filled with clothing, having hair down past my butt, I am showered and dressed in 1/2 hour. My closet is color coordinated and grouped by type of clothing and picked out before going in shower or decide while in the shower what I am going to wear, stick to it, get out, get dressed and do my hair, I also only take a 7 minute shower and do minimal make up, if any.

I think the womanl that takes longer than a hour or so is unorganized, inconsiderate and a plain slow poke. I have to do this to my friends and one sister: if you want them to be ready for a seven o'clock dinner you tell them your picking them up at least an hour before, this way even if they are a little over the time, you're still on time for your date.

A different viewpoint: If a woman takes longer than an hour to get ready to go some place, it most certainly does not mean she is "unorganized, inconsiderate, and a plain slow poke"; it simply means she cares about her appearance.

I, like the first answerer, am a woman but, unlike the first answerer, my hair is short. But having short hair can actually take more time to fix because you can't just clip it up or tie it back like you can with long hair, unless you just don't care what your hair looks like.

As for the make-up, yes, I do wear makeup, because I care how I look when I leave my home. I don't wear a lot of makeup, but I do take care to apply it tastefully.

And I do take longer than 7 minutes in the shower, also unlike the first answerer. But when you consider all that a woman does in the shower, such as shampoo and condition her hair, shave her legs, bathe, and moisturize, it's unrealistic to think it can all be done in 7 minutes. So unless you take a male version of a shower, then there is no way to do it in only 7 minutes. But I would like to point out that I have known of men who take much longer just to shower, and that's not even counting the time for them to shave.

But none of that makess me unorganized or inconsiderate. Again, like the first answerer, my closet is a large walk-in closet, and I have all of my clothes organized according to color and type (pants together, blouses together, dresses together, etc.). My sweaters are on shelves, organized according to color, as well.

I have my routine, and I can shower, do hair and makeup, dress, select which shoes I'm wearing (which are well organized), decide what jewelry I'm wearing (which is well organized in a large armoir/safe), and be out the door in plenty of time because, unlike "inconsiderate, unorganized, slow-pokes", I start getting ready in plenty of time. That way, I am not late, nor is anyone having to wait for me to finish getting ready, so I never make them late, either.

And no one has ever had to give me an incorrect time to be ready, assuming I would be late if they didn't. But heaven help them if they did, and I ended up being ready on time and waiting on them for an hour! I am always ready on time, and I am always a few minutes early to any appointment or event I'm going to.

So, all in all, I consider myself anything but an "inconsiderate, unorganized, slow poke". So please, don't group us all together.
