Blind people tend to adapt to blindness easier, as they have never experienced sight. They are taught to extend and sharpen their other senses, touch, smell, taste, and hearing. People who become blind, however, may have trouble learning to get around and continue on with daily life, as they may have relied mostly on sense of sight (which, in fact, is usually the case).
