For Outer tie rods: Remove tire, remove cotter pin undo the 17 mm nut until threads are covered but nut is still on, then hammer the nut until the ball joint pops off or use a ball joint separator on the ball joint till it pops off... once the ball joint is loose, mark the tie rod with a visible marker or chalk and unscrew and replace with new outer tie rod... the reason why you mark it is to keep your alignment as close to your old one as possible so you can still drive your car to an alignment shop afterwards. For inner tie rod: remove tire remove ball joint as mentioned above but you don't need to unscrew the outer tie rod unless you are keeping it. Remove the wire wrap around tie rod rubber boot and move the boot toward the outside of the car, beneath it you will see a little clip with four tabs, you have to pry at each of those tabs with a screw driver until they are loose then use a adjustable open end wrench aka crescent or pipe wrench and loosen the tie rod, IIRC counter clockwise just like normal threads. If you need a little clearance while loosening you can turn the steering wheel and it will move the steering rack. Order the tabs at the dealership or use really strong loctite when reassembling b/c you really dont want this part to come loose! Then put everything together in reverse order and don't forget to get an alignment afterwards.
