From what I can find on the Paragon shotgun's,and from talking to Mr. Sid Lark a noted firearms expert, these gun's were made by The Baker Gun & Forging Co. found'ed in 1890. the Company was sold in 1919 to the H & D folsom Arm's Co. of Norwich, Conn, The Folsom Co. Then made these for Baker Arm's Co. until around 1923. The ( W S ) is the model and Paragon is the ( Grade ). I have a 1897 WS Paragon 16 gauge single shot shotgun, that was given to me by a good friend year's ago. My friend has sence pass'ed away , and wouldn't sell mine for any amount of money.
