How do you get the old school ratchet skin in ratchet and clank 3?

You got to have a R&C 1 save file (past the Gadgetron hoverboard race), then go to the Starship (the one with vid-comic and all that) then go to the Gadgetron Vendor and it'll say "Congratulations, you got a free skin!"
