Why is Jacob against Bella going on her honeymoon?

Jacob doesn't want Bella to go on her honeymoon with her new husband Edward because he thinks Edward will hurt her when she becomes a vampire just like his family. Bella goes anyway and gets pregnant when she has sex with Edward and dies in the process of giving birth in which Edward is prompted to use his venom to save her life.
