If you still have your receipt from the purchase of the computer (or vista by itself), it would be easier to contact that company from whom you purchased it from. If you no longer have these, it is possible that customer service from Windows may be able to assist you, depending on the problem. If the computer is wiped already, it will be much more difficult.
