Not possible to diagnose at long distance- this will need a trip to a gunsmith. It is possible that a spring has weakened, or parts have worn. IF the rifle is clean and lubricated, and you have tried a few different brands of ammo (some .22s are picky eaters) then a visit to the shop would be next. Sorry, wish I could tell you to bend the dohickey to the left, but it involves multiple moving parts in relation to each other.
