Why was impressionisim invented?

Impressionisim came from those who are creative (non couch potato) types. Those with an imagination and a willingness to explore (the type that create for you to enjoy).

An image of a milk bottle is representational and the milk bottle with a cows nipple jammed in it would be impressionistic.
