Who is Elena Gilberts mother?

Elena has 2 mothers, one is her adoptive mother who is called Miranda Gilbert (this is Elena's aunt). However recently she has found out that she is not a Gilbert and her real mother is Isobel Flemming-Saltzman, who is a vampire. This is why Elena has such an resemblance to Catherine.
