How do you install a front bumper license plate bracket on a 2006Mercedes Benz 500sl that has never had one?

In the front you will see where a plate can go hat you do is put the license plat up to it when mark it then drill the two holes for it then put the plat back up to it and bolt it on and your plate will be there for a long time
