Why are all prime numbers odd except for 2?

Simple. 2 has only 1 and 2 as factors, right?

Now, if we take any EVEN numbers, they'd have 1, 2, itself, and possibly more factors, which makes all even numbers composite. Therefore, only odd numbers can be prime.
