When was the the single shot rifle with bayonet used?

By the US Military, up thru the 1880s- although some repeater rifles were used in the mid 1860s. The last of the single shot rifles was the Springfield "trap door" rifle in 45-70. It was replaced by the bolt action Krag in 30-40 cailber.
