How do you tell a girl you like her without coming off too strong?

Be really sweet say something lIke " you know --- I really like you and I think you're pretty," most times don't add the pretty part but make her think "oh my goodness!!! Wow I had no idea he felt this way!!! And I like him too!!!" befor you tell her do some major flirting and tell her alone.
