Where is the fuel pump located on a 1987 Ford Aerostar How do you replace it?

On a 1987 Ford Aerostar, the fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. To replace it, first disconnect the negative battery cable and relieve the fuel system pressure. Then, drain the fuel tank, remove it from the vehicle, and access the pump by removing the retaining ring on the top of the tank. Replace the old pump with a new one, reassemble the tank, and reconnect everything.
