Can a convicted felon become a nurse in Texas?

Unfortunately the answer is No... You may be able to do the prequisites but getting accepted into a nursing school will almost be impossible. You are competing with all sorts of other students who do not have a record and they will surely be chosen over you. Background checks say they only go back 7 years but it really 10. Even id you can complete an ADN getting hired will be very difficult. Sorry.
