What happens if Betting is out of turn in poker?

When a player makes a bet before it is his turn (out of turn), then the bet must remain on the table until it is the players turn.

Most house rules state that this bet can only be called or raised. Checking is not possible in that round of betting. The player who did bet out of turn can not raise his out of turn bet if the action is on him after his bet was called.

Other house rules state that a player who makes an out of turn bet, can withdraw his bet, but no longer bet when the action is on him, he will be forced to check too.

This all depends on house rules, best thing to do is to inform what rule the house you are playing at is having regarding out of turn bets to ensure correct information.
