Can a bad fuel pressure regulator cause high idle?

Yes i believe so! My 2000 monti fpr is getting bad and it idles at 1500 rpm every once in a while! But my car has Recall #03054B so it is going to be free to fix. On most cars the aproximate cost is 100$ to get it fixed!
