Do you have good power at high speeds and it stalls out if you give it alot of gas from a stop?
If so, sounds like you have weak spark
was it a long time from last tune up?
If so give it a tune up, it is very simple and inexpensive, and on your car it may be the easiest tune up to do. Even if you are not mechanically inclined you can do the tune up yourself and save alot of money! If you don;t know how just post another question or message me.
NO - I don't think that's what she means, because I am having the very same problem and understood it this way:
To my understanding, she is stalling when she is NOT giving it gas at a stop. I have a Saturn Ion 2005 and when I stop at a stop sign, in order to keep from stalling I have to either roll and not completely stop and then quickly gas it before it stops completely to avoid stalling, or I have to keep one foot on the break and one on the gas, although usually by the time I stop completely to do that, it's already stalled out. Any ideas anyone??? I have transmission codes appearing for just about every Sensor, but I have been told 4 different things in the past two days and don't know what to believe. 1. Speed sensor (sensor on the outside of the transmission) 2. torque converter 3. map sensor 4. Need a new transmission Additionally - I have already replaced the air filter and spark plugs/tune up thinking that was it first. Could this be a fuel pump or fuel filter? And WHY WHY WHY does it stop almost ALWAYS as I'm at a stop sign and just begin turning, and not at a stop LIGHT when going straight in traffic!??? What does that mean????
