According to The Bible, demons are wicked spirit creatures, but, in contrast, humans are material creatures. There is a spirit world, inhabited by spirits. There are good spirit creatures, called angels. Almighty God is also described as being 'spirit'.

Of course, in a general sense, in everyday conversation, evil, wicked, cruel, destructive, bad or even just naughty people are sometimes called demons, or little demons.

However this isn't describing their physical state, but is with reference to their moral qualities, behaving in a 'demonlike' manner.
