Where does ovulation takes place?

Ovulation occurs in the ovaries, which are part of the female reproductive system. During this process, a mature egg is released from a follicle in the ovary and subsequently travels down the fallopian tube. This event typically occurs around the midpoint of the menstrual cycle and is triggered by hormonal changes. If sperm are present, fertilization may occur in the fallopian tube after ovulation.
