The scientific method is a way for scientists to figure things out by asking questions and testing ideas. First, you start with a question about something you want to learn. Then, you make a guess, called a hypothesis, about what you think will happen. Next, you do an experiment to test your guess, and finally, you look at what you found out to see if your guess was right or wrong.
