What is the correct silverware placement on a dinner table?

The knives should be located on the right and work the wway inwards for the dishes so furthest away from the plate 1st dish closet last dish .The same priniple for the fork on the left.The spoons at the top of the plate pointing left, same principle of working your way in again.
