How did Catherine misjudged Geoffrey in Catherine Called Birdy?

She thinks that he is so great and good looking, but she sees him being mean to younger boys and making fun Perkin. She also says that when she pushed him in the water, and looked into his eyes, he looked like her brother Robert.
