When a spouse is unfaithful and has intimate relations with someone other than the married mate is adultery. When dating and one individual has intimate relations with

someone else other than the girlfriend/boyfriend is fornication. Cheating can also be done in your mind. When you desire someone you are not with you covet that individual, but have not yet taken action due to not having the opportune time, but when the time

comes you act on that desire.
