Did Olympia dukakis run for vice president or who chose Olympia Dukakis as there vice president ruuning mate?

Olympia Dukakis is an Oscar-winning actress (supporting actress in 1987's "Moonstruck"). Her cousin, Michael Dukakis, was the Democratic nominee for President of the United States in 1988. His running mate was Lloyd Bentsen. To the best of my knowledge, Olympia Dukakis has never run for public office.
