To remove a 4-speed transmission from a 1965 Corvette, start by disconnecting the battery and draining the Transmission Fluid. Next, support the vehicle on jack stands, remove the driveshaft, and disconnect the linkage, speedometer cable, and any electrical connections. Then, unbolt the transmission from the bellhousing and support it with a transmission jack as you remove the mounting bolts. Carefully slide the transmission out of the bellhousing and lower it from the vehicle.
