10 safety tips for tornadoes

1. If you are outside when a tornado hits and you cannot get inside quick enough, then you should go into a ditch and curl up into a ball as tight as you can.

2. If you are inside when a tornado hits, go into a interior room like a bathroom or closet with no Windows on the lowest floor in the house. Try and get under something like a table or blanket.

3. If you are at school during a tornado, they will probably already have a drill, but if not, get up against the wall in a hallway or classroom with no Windows on the lowest floor and get into the turtle tuck. The turtle tuck is when you get down on your knees, lean over with your head facing your knees, and your hands over your head.
