Does drinking beer effect psoriasis

I have psoriasis, it was bad when I was younger. I drink occasionally sometimes to excess. I never noticed new scaling from drinking beer. Its when I get into the hard stuff and put a good one on I have noticed extra scaling and even new spots only with heavily drinking liquor.
