Why is Tungsten used in lightbulbs?

Tungsten is used in bulbs as filament, because it is the only wire that can be bent easily to produce friction. In the 5mm coil of the wire there are almost 15 rounds of coiling and when the electrons flow through it, it glows and emits heat as well due to friction.
