What food group are pancakes in?

If you look at the food pyramid it's at the bottom, in the rice, pasta, bread and cereal category (grain).
Pancakes belong to the carbohydrate part of the food pyramid, or basic-six food group, as does bread; in the basic-five group they belong to the bread group.
