If you were Durkheim's successor in his research on suicide how would you investigate the factors that may explain the increase in suicide rates among young people in the US today?

First off I would look at typical teenage life. I would look at family income, friends, enemys, criminal records, school, dress, and stereo type. Then i would lok at cities in the us with high and low suicide rates. I would compare and contrast the cities. I would then look at family history of a few hundred family historys from the cities.

This would be a continuous study.
