  3. Local resources may remain un-utilised ar under utilised
  4. Cannot take care of needs and aspirations of people
  5. Excludes the people's participation.
Regional Planning :
  1. Decentralised and spatial planning
  2. Has enourmous diversity - physical as well as human
  3. Local resources are optimally utilised
  4. Plans are formulated keeping in views of needs and aspirations of people
  5. Ensures people's participation.
